“At NeoCon 2018, Maharam delivered visual impact through architectural scale and an elemental use of lines and planes with a new installation designed in collaboration with American industrial designer, Leon Ransmeier. Featuring previews of upcoming textiles from the Maharam Design Studio, Scholten & Baijings, Paul Smith, Alexander Girard, Doshi Levien, Jonathan Olivares, Giulio Ridolfo, and Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, the large-scale installation was partly encircled by Alexander Girard and Hella Jongerius rugs displayed on inclined metal plinths that referenced a 1938 MoMA exhibition conceived by Herbert Bayer to exemplify “the Bauhaus principles of exhibition technique in which clarity and arresting arrangement are combined.” Photography by Nathan Kirkman.For more information, visit http://bit.ly/2MajrCE”
