Business Interiors Building – Ridgeland Mississippi
Our building holds special meaning to our team here at Business Interiors, and to the community in which we reside. We’re a family-run company that cares about creating value, whether for our customers or our community at large. We want to make a positive difference. So when we purchased the land for our own stand-alone building just off Highland Colony Parkway, we knew that we wanted the building that we would erect on the property to reflect that commitment to creating value. With the help of the talented Canizaro Cawthorn Davis architecture firm, Business Interiors opened its new doors in December 2006 as Mississippi’s first smart, flexible green building.
Our building is an example of modern workspace design
The Business Interiors business is a beautiful, cutting edge, environmentally friendly piece of art. From the appealing, modern design, to the abundance of natural light, the 14,500 square foot structure serves as an ideal work space for our team and a welcoming showcase of our top-of-the-line office furniture lines for our clients. Our work spaces are flexible and adaptable to our needs as they evolve—an important design feature that we offer our clients as well.
The energy-efficiency of the design also serves as an example of the kind of long-term investment the Business Interiors team believes will serve our community best in the long term. Its underfloor heating and cooling system, made possible with a raised flooring system that we also offer as a flooring option to our customers, saves energy costs for our building year after year.
“It took time and care to construct our building in a way that would provide the best work and show room space possible for our team and clients, while creating as little impact as possible on or natural surroundings,” said David Houpt, proud owner and president of Business Interiors, “but it was worth it to us, because we wanted to be an example of what good design can do for a business and community.” – David Houpt
Perhaps the most appealing aspect of the Business Interiors building design isn’t the building at all, but it’s strategically untouched surroundings. We took care to use only a small portion of our property for our building, leaving the wooded landscape preserved to serve as a natural, beautiful backdrop for our work each day. Even the property’s water detention system was specially-designed to run underneath the parking lot of the business to save nearly one-third of an acre of land.
The care and thought that we put into the design of our Business Interiors work space and property should be taken as a sign of who we are as a business. We are the kind of business that wants what’s best for our team, our clients, and our community. Come by and see us today to find out for yourself just how much we care.
